Heliskiing British Columbia
100,000 acres. No lifts. Just helicopter.
Overview
Interior British Columbia contains some of the most extraordinary ski terrain on earth — and virtually none of it is accessible by lift. This journey accesses it by helicopter: six days of guided heliskiing through the Monashees, Selkirks, or Cariboos, depending on snow conditions and group ability. Up to 30,000 vertical feet per day in terrain that most skiers will never see.
Who This Is For
Strong expert skiers who are comfortable in all snow conditions, including deep powder, breakable crust, and variable backcountry snow. Heliskiing is physically demanding. You will ski more vertical footage in six days than most skiers cover in a season.
Timing Intelligence
CMH and Mike Wiegele both operate January through March. February is the statistical sweet spot: storm cycles are most active, temperatures maintain powder quality, and daylight is sufficient for full flying days. Our Interior BC intelligence reports track precipitation, temperature inversions, and snowpack stability to advise on optimal departure windows within your booking.
Lodging
CMH Revelstoke Lodge
Backcountry lodgeCMH's flagship property — a timber-framed lodge at 1,500m with wood-burning fireplaces, a sauna, and guides who have been skiing these mountains for decades.
